N-Gage Goes Live

According to the N-Gage Blog, N-Gage has officially gone live! The software is now available to download, and works on the Nokia N81, N81 8GB, N82, N95-1, N95 8GB and (according to The Symbian Blog) N95-3.

The current games include:

  • System Rush: Evolution
  • Asphalt 3: Street Rules
  • Brain Challenge
  • World Series of Poker Pro Challenge
  • Hooked On: Creates of the Deep

They also have a good list of games “coming soon”, including:

  • FIFA 08
  • Tetris
  • Block Breaker Deluxe
  • Space Impact Kappa Base
  • Brothers in Arms
  • Dogz
  • Mile High Pinball
  • The Sims 2 Pets
  • Worms World Party
  • Midnight Pool

8GB N95 firmware changelog is out: firmware coming soon

April 1st, 2008

Firmware v20.0.016 for the N95 8GB is coming soon, and The Symbian Blog has posted information from the changelog. Some specifics:

  • Better gallery stability
  • Browser enhamcements
  • Automatic screen rotation (like the N82)

Black Nokia N82 Officially Announced

Black Nokia N82The long-rumored black N82 has finally been announced by Nokia. The phone is due to ship within a few weeks for a little over $600 US.

Also, it sounds like a firmware update might be coming out for the N82 as well, due to a statement in the press release that you’ll be able to upload videos directly to YouTube, a feature currently not available.

It is indeed a very impressive list. They make the case that it was the best year ever for Nokia in terms of great new hardware, and I certainly can’t argue with that.
