New TMobile Phones
Here at Mobileography, we’re always trying to find new ways to make our site better. To that end, we’re starting a new feature. We call it sticky content. The idea is that there is some content that needs to be updated fairly often. Take for example this article. Why not have an article that keeps track of the latest phone releases from t-Mobile? Seems simple right? Well, this is the first of many of those kinds of articles. Watch the sidebar for more coming soon.
T-Mobile G1 Phone
This is the so called “Google Phone”. More precisesly, it is the first phone to run on Google’s Android platform. Android is a Java-based mobile phone operating system. It is completely open source, so any developer anywhere can develop for it. Also, like the extremely popular iPhone from Apple, the G1 is touchscreen device. However, unlike the iPhone the T-Mobile G1 does include a real slide-out keyboard for faster text input. The G1 also includes a full-fledged web browser. In many respects, the G1 provides an experience that rivals the industry leading iPhone.
The G1 is available in black, white, or bronze. Right now the phone is listed as being in “extremely limited supply”. You can only get the G1 from T-Mobile. Eventually, similar phones will be available from other carriers, but until then the G1 stands alone as the only Google phone in town.
