The iPhone App Store is up!

July 10th, 2008

If you go download the latest version of iTunes (7.7), you can now browse and download applications for your iPhone and iPod Touch. Of course, you can’t load them yet because the new firmware hasn’t been released, but that is expected by about noon EST today.

There are over 500 applications available, including 135 free ones. I’m quite disappointed to not see much from Google (I was hoping for Gmail, Reader, etc), but overall there is some good stuff.

Personally, I’m pleased to see applications like Evernote and SmugShot in there, along with the expected ones like the Facebook app. What do you see that really grabs your attention?

Dang, I really need an iPhone now… :)

Meron — Just update to the latest firmware (free of charge) and you’ll have it. What a great update!
