iPhone shortage is simply a supply problem

Apple has finally discussed the iPhone shortage and has that it is simply a supply problem, and not a new model. Steve Dowling of Apple said:
“We are working to replenish iPhone supplies as quickly as we can. Our stores continue to receive shipments almost every day.”
It’s pretty much what I expected to hear, but I hoped that maybe they were trying to surprise us with an early release of the 3G iPhone.
