Apple patent application suggests a flip-open iPhone
March 17, 2008 – 2:29 pmA recent patent application from Apple shows what could be a clamshell iPhone. The lid on this phone would be clear and have a multi-touch screen on both sides. When the phone is closed, you can see through the cover and touch it to activate items on the screen. When you open the phone, you can touch the bottom half (the inside of the cover), similar to how most clamshell phones work today.
