Pictures of Verizon’s Samsung U940 Gylde

March 14, 2008 – 7:11 am

I’m pretty sure this will be the form factor of my next phone. I like the idea of a big touch screen on top, with a QWERTY sliding out from below. I’m leading more toward the Sony XPERIA X1, but there’s a number of nice choices on the horizon.

Here are handful of nice photos of the phone, as found at HowardForums (via PhoneMag):

  2. So it seems that Verizon butchered the UI as usual. Is there anyway to undo that?

  3. Verizon loves to tweak a UI until it becomes slow and bloated. It’s rather sad.

Now that they’re trying to open up the network, hopefully you’ll be able to use more phones with their native OS instead of being chained to the Verizon mess.
