Apple has finally discussed the iPhone shortage and has that it is simply a supply problem, and not a new model. Steve Dowling of Apple said:
"We are working to replenish iPhone supplies as quickly as we can. Our stores continue to receive shipments almost every day."

The experts say it's coming this summer, but signs are pointing to a 3G iPhone in a matter of days. After hearing word of iPhone shortages GigaOM called many Apple stores, randomly selected, and were told the same thing every time -- "sorry, we are out of iPhones".

Microsoft officially announced Windows Mobile 6.1, along with an upgrade for Internet Explorer Mobile. In a similar move, Sony officially announced that the XPERIA X1 will be running Windows Mobile 6.1, news which was already assumed but not yet verified.
